In a bizarre partnership that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Disclosed

According to the official release, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of forbidden rituals and monstrous changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine cult.

The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The teaser highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Items and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana alongside several items hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-based costume for Yasuke
• Mikasa outfit for Naoe
• Exclusive implements
• Survey Corps steed

Third Free Story Update

This update also introduces the game's newest no-cost story addition, titled "The Enigma." This humorous quest partners Naoe and Yasuke as they trade characteristic abilities: Naoe introduces a dramatic interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke learns subduing stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "A Puzzlement" also includes a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unanswered questions from the main storyline.
