Former Doctor Faces Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Legal authorities have stated that a ex- physician has been charged with performing sexual assaults against thirty-eight victims who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with numerous acts of sexual assault – comprising some against children younger than 13 – between 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief prosecutor commented, “Legal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
Scope of the Investigation
These allegations follow what police called a “complex investigation” into reported assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.
List of Offences
The charging documents said the forty-five charges comprise:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- Seventeen counts of assault by penetration.
- 9 counts of sexual assault of a child under 13.
- Three counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
