Netflix Chooses Perfect Actor for Bentham in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment

The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t take place until the third season, and a beloved, popular member has now been chosen.

Netflix announced recently that the skilled actor is now part of the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will portray Mr. 2. The role can use their power to morph into an exact copy of any individual they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The performer, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will play a interpretation of that role reinterpreted as non-binary identifying, instead of as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, as in the initial comic and cartoon version.

This performer joins several other new cast members who will portray Baroque Works to reality, featuring head the main antagonist, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and Sendhil Ramamurthy, who will appear as the ensemble as the monarch of the desert kingdom.

Although the role is a key figure of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece season 3. With season 2 set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a significant shift in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest further changes to the plot development.

The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the character. Along with their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.

Netflix's live-action One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10th, 2026.
